Reliable for recurring payments

This is our third time using Riseworks, specifically for Mass Payouts and the Global Compliance Engine. We've always found it consistent. Our first experience with their Contractor Onboarding was smooth, and this time around, it was just as good. They're reliable, and the support for Stablecoin Payments has been a key reason we keep coming back. The Audit Logs are also a nice touch for our internal processes. No complaints, it just works.

Crypto Payroll was a game changer

We used Riseworks for our Crypto Payroll this quarter, and it was seamless. The Multi-chain Payments feature worked flawlessly with our existing setup. Onboarding our global contractors was surprisingly easy too; the W-8BEN Collection was all handled. Definitely shopping here again for sure, and I've already told a few other projects about it!

Good value on contractor pay

I decided to try Riseworks for Global Contractor Pay based on a recommendation. I was looking for something that offered good value, and the annual commitment discount made it pretty competitive. The Automated Tax Withholding was a big plus, and it saved us a lot of hassle. The whole process felt worth the price. I'll probably renew if the savings continue.

Thinking about switching our global contractor payments to Riseworks, mainly for the crypto options. Is it safe for large scale DAO treasury payouts? Our current solution is a nightmare with fees and compliance for crypto.

W Web3Wiz 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
We've been using Riseworks for our DAO payouts for about six months now, and it's been pretty solid. The multi-chain payments and stablecoin options are a huge plus. Haven't had any major issues with scale, our payouts are pretty substantial.

That's reassuring to hear! How do they handle the KYC/KYB for DAO members? That's always a pain point.
6
W Web3Wiz 2 weeks ago
They have a pretty robust KYC/KYB system built-in. It's not instant, but it's much smoother than dealing with individual exchanges for each payout. Cuts down on manual work a lot.

I'm curious about the compliance side for DAOs. Are they fully compliant with US labor laws for crypto payments? That's my main concern.
4
T TechSavvy 2 weeks ago
Yeah, the legal review is a must. But from what I've seen, they put a lot of effort into the compliance engine, especially for US regulations like W-8BEN and W-9 collection.

W Web3Wiz 2 weeks ago
They claim to be, and their automated tax withholding and 1099 reporting seem to cover a lot of bases. I'd still recommend having your legal team review their Professional Services Agreement Templates though.

Following this thread. We're in a similar boat, the volatility during payroll is a constant headache. Wondering how Riseworks handles that with crypto payments?

W Web3Wiz 2 weeks ago
They primarily use stablecoins like USDC for payroll to minimize volatility risk. You can also convert fiat to crypto onramps directly within their platform, which helps.

Just onboarded a bunch of new global contractors using Riseworks and noticed they offer something called 'Integration Credit.' Anyone know what that's about or how to get it?

A Anjali_T 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Good question! I actually got some of that 'integration credit' earlier this year. We linked Riseworks to our treasury management system, and they gave us a discount on our first few months' fees. It wasn't huge, but every bit helps when you're scaling.

A Anjali_T 1 month ago
I had to mention it to my account manager. It wasn't fully automatic for me, but they were quick to apply it once I asked. Definitely worth pushing for!

That's good to know, Anjali! Was there a specific form you had to fill out, or did it apply automatically once you connected?

R RahulK 1 month ago
Yeah, I saw that mentioned somewhere too. I think it's for integrating Riseworks with other accounting software, like if you connect it to QuickBooks or something similar. Not sure on the exact amount though.

D Deepak91 1 month ago
I think it applies to most major accounting systems, but you probably need to check with their support. I heard it can be a decent amount off your first bill.

Oh, so like if we link it to our existing financial tools? That makes sense. We use Xero, wonder if that counts.

Any way to get a discount on Riseworks? My startup is small right now but growing fast, every penny counts.

D Dana 2 months ago
They have a startup program, I think? Or at least a demo credit for trying it out. Ask your sales rep about that.
6
B Beth Kaur 2 months ago
Yeah, definitely ask about the startup discount. Also, if you know anyone already using them, they might have a referral bonus thing that could help both of you out. Annual billing usually gets a discount too.

Is Riseworks legit for paying people globally? Like, are they actually compliant or just some crypto thing that'll get me into trouble with the IRS?

C Cody 2 months ago
Yeah, they're legit. I've been using them for a few months for my dev team scattered across different countries. They handle all the local compliance stuff, even for the US folks.

J Josh Hughes 2 months ago
They definitely seem to take compliance seriously. I saw some info about them supporting W-8BEN and 1099 reporting, so they're on top of US tax stuff at least. Don't think it's just a 'crypto thing'.

Are there actual coupon codes for Riseworks or is it all just referral stuff? Trying to find a promo code before I sign up.

G Greg M. 2 months ago
Mostly referral based from what I've seen. You get a credit if someone refers you, or they give you one during the sales demo. Don't think there are public 'coupon codes' to punch in at checkout like Amazon.

N Neil A. 2 months ago
They use referral codes, but those are usually applied when you're setting up your account with their team, not something you find floating around on coupon sites, if that makes sense.

Can I use Riseworks to pay people who aren't even employees, just one-off contractors for a project? Like if I need to pay a designer once.

J James F. 2 months ago
Yep, absolutely. That's what the Global Contractor Pay part is for. They handle all the onboarding and agreements for contractors too.
4
R Ryan Q. 2 months ago
For sure, that's a big part of it. They do W-9 and W-8BEN collection for contractors, so you're covered.

Thinking of switching from Deel. How does Riseworks compare, especially on the crypto payroll side? Deel's been a bit clunky for that.

B Ben 2 months ago
From what I hear, Rise is way better for crypto. My friend uses it and says the multi-chain payments and stablecoin options are super smooth. Deel is more fiat-focused.

W Wendy Vargas 1 month ago
Rise integrates with crypto wallets and does cross-border payments in crypto easily. That's kinda their whole thing compared to some of the older players.

How long does it usually take for payments to hit someone's wallet if I pay them in USDC or something? Need to make sure contractors get paid on time.

D Dan 2 months ago
It's pretty fast for crypto payouts, usually within a day or two max. Depends on the blockchain, but mostly quick.
3
N Nina Y. 2 months ago
AFAIK, crypto payments are way quicker than fiat bank transfers. Should be like 1-2 business days, sometimes faster.
